TCO Web Team: John Dwyer
When did you start working at TCO?
I started working at TCO this November, and I look forward to helping the Web Team. I also look forward to being a smiley resource for local customers.
What is your favorite place you have fly fished? (Near or Far)
I have a secret spot on the Mad River in Ohio. The Mad is stocked with brown trout in the fall, but I know a hidden location home to MONSTER smallmouth.
What music is being played on your way to the stream?
If I am going bass fishing, usually Creedence Clearwater Revival and Bob Dylan, but if I am going trout fishing, I prefer Westcoast 90’s gangster rap.
Besides fly fishing, what other outdoor activities do you enjoy?
I love to surf and bodysurf. I try to do both as much as I can. I also play ice hockey, if that counts as "outdoors".
John's Bio
Growing up in the Washington D.C. area, I began fishing the Tidal Potomac River for smallmouth, largemouth, and striped bass. I received a fly fishing outfit as a gift, and I have cherished every moment of it since. While in college in Dayton, Ohio, I began to focus primarily on smallmouth bass and brown trout. Fly fishing teaches me to appreciate and explore my homewaters along with giving me the discipline of mastering a new skill. In addition with fly tying and daydreaming about state records, fly fishing has completely taken control of my life. I now live in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, and I am very excited to fish this fantastic area!
