TCO Fly Tying Class: Tying Trout Streamers with John Parisi
Catching a trout on a streamer fly you tied yourself is often a milestone for anglers. Our fly-tying class will help you master the techniques so you leave with the knowledge and experience required to tie productive streamers. Come with a basic knowledge of fly tying, and we’ll help make it more productive and enjoyable.
-
All tying materials will be provided for students to use but bring your favorite vise and tools.
-
We've carefully chosen a set of trout-specific streamer fly patterns that will help you understand a range of fundamental techniques that will easily transfer to other flies and styles.
-
You will learn about proportions so that the finished fly looks and acts appropriately on the water.
-
We will explore a variety of the materials that we stock in our fly shop, so that you become familiar with how they are used.
-
The class will include tips and tricks that will make the fly-tying process more enjoyable.
-
You will leave the class equipped with the skills needed to expand the craft.
